we are settling into life with a newborn and an active 2 year old. Nicole has been here this week. I hope to post new pics soon--we've had a busy few days.
Last weekend, Egan was extremely fussy and was not eating as much as he should have been. He was up on saturday night screaming for several hours and was very uncomfortable. He also had projectile vomiting so on Sunday we headed to the ER. They thought he might have pyloric stenosis and we had an ultrasound done. As of sunday's ultrasound, it doesn't look like he has that but we need to keep an eye on it in case it develops. They came to the conclusion that he has reflux so they put him on prevacid. We met with the ped. on Monday and she added zantac 2x a day in addition to the prevacid. She also mentioned that we may need to switch formula and start him on nutramigen (the same expensive formula that Quinn was on). It's been a crazy few days but Egan seems to be on the up and up. We are hoping the reflux medicine works and our little guy feels better soon. We already notice a difference.
Thanks for Aunt Nicole for playing with Quinn while Pat and I were in the hopsital on Sunday. Quinn loves his Aunt Cole :)
Will post pics soon from our first 2 weeks with Egan and Nicole's visit.
