update

we've had an interesting and fun filled few weeks since my last post. Our friends Rich and Nicki and their family visited us in Charleston while they were vacationing in Edisto. It was great to see them and spend some time with them. Thanks for making the trek to Charleston Mundells. We miss you. Rich, Meghan, Quinn, and Pat taking the MG for a spin around the neighborhood.

Pat and Quinn paying bills. Everytime Pat sits down to pay bills, Quinn grabs his laptop and says that he is paying bills. too funny!

Charleston firefighters came to Quinn's school last week and he learned all about what they do and also got to see the firetruck. They got a bag full of goodies and a fireman's hat. Quinn put it on backwards but wanted to pose for a pic.

love him

Pat's Aunt and Uncle, Toot and Karen, and their daughter Jessie came to visit us and spend 2 days with us on their way to HHI. We LOVED seeing them and really enjoyed spending time with them. Quinn loved "his friends" and was sad to see them go.

We took a boat ride out to Fort Sumter. Thanks Toot for chasing Quinn around the boat.

Quinn and Toot playing hide and seek. Quinn was trying to get away from Toot

Pat was talking to Nunna one night on the phone and Quinn wanted to talk. He held a 5 minute conversation with her! We had to get his picture because most of the time he only pushes the buttons on the phone and doesn't talk.

We've had some issues with Egan's reflux again and headed back to the dr. She increased his medicine and that seemed to do the trick for a few days...

happy baby

screaming, fussy, unhappy baby.
The two pictures above depict what most of our days look like around the house. The increased dosage worked for a few days but he started to get fussy again the past couple of days so we have increased his medicine again. This guy REALLY likes eating and had gained 1 1/2lbs. in 1 week! Hoping the medicine increase will work and help Egan with his reflux issues. Poor little guy only likes napping in his bouncer or swing because of the burn from the reflux. Wish we could take away all the reflux issues.
some tummy time--isn't he sweet

can you see the smile peaking through? :)

lately, the swing is the only thing that soothes Egan--movement and sitting upright. Here he is in action sleeping in the swing
we decided to test out the boppy. He has pretty good neck control but not enough to sit up in the boppy. He's trying oh-so-hard
the smile that melts my heart

Here is Quinn posing in his indian garb. One day at school they decorated pillowcases and learned about Indians. Here is my little guy. Notice his headband says "loverboy". He loves giving hugs and kisses to all the ladies at school.

So we are heading into week 7 of my maternity leave. Can't believe how fast it is going, before I know it I will be back to work in a few weeks. Here are some other snipits of info. about whats been going on in our house:
Egan has started cooing and smiling
Egan is still eating every 4 hours. Sometimes in the night he makes it 5 hours
Egan does pretty well with tummy time and likes his play mat
Egan LOVES his swing
Quinn's vocabulary grows more and more every day
Quinn's new favorite activity is building castles with his blocks
Quinn loves eating "blue ice" and sitting on the front porch
Pat and I are doing well. Still adjusting to little sleep at night but we are managing and know there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Thank God for a great husband who is great with the boys, loves his wife, and helps out immensly around the house and with the boys . Love you Pat! We are anxiously awaiting a grant score in mid-August that if funded would give Pat the opportunity (hopefully) for a tenure-track position at MUSC. Will keep you posted. Nothing new going on with me. I've been doing odds and ends around the house and trying to shed my last 6 pounds of baby weight. Hope to start exercising soon and hoping for the weather to break so we can do more outside with both Quinn and Egan.
off to do wash. Can you believe football starts soon!! We are very excited--we recently purchased the NFL package from DirectTV so we will be able to see every Steelers game! Yeah!

I love all of the new pictures. I can't wait to see "Lover Boy" in a few days. I am amazed how well Egan is sitting in the boppy:) It looks like Toot and the gang had a good time! I am sure it was nice to see family. Well, we look forward to spending time with you soon and celebrating Egan's baptism.
We Love You!!! N & N
