February wrap up

Can't believe it's been almost a month and a half since I last updated the blog. Things have been busy. In February we visited the aquarium and children's museum a couple of times, had get togethers with friends, toured several homes, celebrated Valentine's Day, celebrated my birthday, Quinn started spring soccer, put up our house up for rent since we didn't have any luck with selling, etc. Lots going on. Here are a few pictures to recap our month and a half or so.

Quinn got his teeth cleaned for the first time. He did AWESOME and LOVED it!

Katy, the dental assistant, was great with Quinn.

Had a playdate with our friends, Brad and Amber, and their kids, Ben and SmithAnne. The kids had a blast and we ended the night with a bath.

I went to Quinn's school for Grandparent's Day/Valentine's Day. We made a few crafts and got to spend some time together.

the weather was awesome at the end of Feb. so we joined our neighbors, Elina and Joe, and their son, Alex, on the boat on Sunday afternoon. It was beautiful. Egan enjoyed his first boat ride.

Feb recap:

Quinn started spring soccer again and seems to enjoy it a little more this time. We completed the paperwork at his school for him for next year. He will move to the 4s and have a quiet time room since he seems to be phasing out of naps. He had a bout with strep throat and got to spend a few days at work with Mom and Dad.

Egan enjoys his school still and will be there until the end of May when we can move him to O'Quinn with Quinn. His vocabulary AMAZES us at times. He sometimes uses 3 word sentences! His appetite is not great so we will go back at the end of March for a "weigh in" since he is int he -3% (failure to thrive). Hoping he has gained some weight. He is just a little runt. He LOVES being outside and would spend all day out there is we would let him.

Pat submitted another grant and is busy in the lab doing experiments and writing articles. Work is the same for me.

As for the house, we didn't have any luck selling our house so after our 6 month contract was up with our realtor we decided to try to rent our house. In the month that it has been listed we have had 11 people look at it. 2 couples have come 2x to look at it and most likely we have a renter. Our rental management company is just waiting to get a check in hand for the deposit and then it's finalized. We have also decided to buy land and build. We signed the contract on the land on Friday and hope to start building in the next few weeks. In the meantime, we will need to be out of our house by May 1 so the 5 of us will be living in a 1100 sq. ft. townhome while our house is being built. Fun times! We just have to keep reminding ourselves that it's temporary!

Hope to post pictures of the building process once it starts. Hoping the next few months fly by and we can be settled into our new home by Fall.
