sunday recap

we did some odds and ends around the house today. We went to the grocery store and Costco this morning to stock up on food for the week and other things. Then we came home, Quinn went down for his nap, Pat cut up two chickens so we could make bbq chicken, I made egg salad, and Pat finished up the frames for the animal prints that are going in Quinn's new room. After Quinn woke up from his nap, we ate lunch and played.

In the midst of our switching rooms and getting Quinn ready to move into his new room, we moved our futon into the computer room until we could get rid of it. I LOVE this futon. Pat and I spent many nights on this futon. For months at a time in KY we would sleep on the futon. The mattress saved us during the 2003 ice storm in KY--it was our bed in front of the fire for a week when we didn't have power. We also slept on the futon for awhile after we moved to SC. Well, after 9 years, we had to part with the futon to make room for baby #2. Pat put the futon on craigs list last night and some one called this morning to buy it. So this afternoon, we said so long to our futon. Hope the new owner likes it as much we have!

Tonight, Pat made bbq chicken, mashed potatoes, and green beans. I made pasta salad. Our neighbor, Mike, came over and joined us for dinner. Here are some pictures from dinner. Quinn LOVES Mike. He is constantly pointing to Mike's house and saying "Mike."

While we were in KY, Quinn learned how to jump off the couch (thanks Brechting boys). So tonight, he decided to try it out at our house. He jumped off the couch onto Derby's dog bed.

well, off to finish making lunches for tomorrow and then to bed. Happy Monday.
